3 easy ways to overcome insomnia

A good sleep depends on many factors: a comfortable bed, fresh air, proper nutrition. But there are people who try different types of mattresses, spend long evening walks, deny themselves heavy food for lunch and still do not fall asleep normally.

In this case, insomnia is not associated with a way of life, but with long-term psycho-emotional stress – a person feels excited, his sleep is superficial and he is often awake.

If we are nervous, something is bothering us, or we need to make an important decision, the usual tips for dealing with insomnia often do not work. First of all, we must relax – not only physically, but also mentally. For this, it is best to use some aromatherapy effects. Used in massage, warm bath or on a pillow, essential oils quickly affect our emotional state.

Here are tips for a better and deeper sleep that begin with self-massage before bedtime.

A soothing massage captures the ears, neck and shoulders. The effect is even better if you use aromatic oil. Its preparation is very simple: a few drops of essential oil are added to olive oil or other vegetable oil. The most relaxing effect is lavender, frankincense.

Here are some sample songs:

  •  2 tablespoons of the base layer (vegetable oil) + 2 drops of geranium +3 K. patchouli + 4 K. Chamomile.
  •  1 spoon base + 2 K. Lavender + 2 K. lemon extract.
  •  1 spoon of the base + 3 K. chamomile + 2. K. Lavender.

Choose the composition that suits you best as a fragrance and do not force yourself to use essential oils that are too intrusive or unpleasant for you.

Inhalation

The fastest way to feel the effects of essential oils is to inhale (inhalation) from scented lamps or herbal pillows. If you do not have such accessories, just drop 2-3 drops of essential oil on a handkerchief.

As for the scented pillow, you can buy such an item or make it yourself. All you have to do is get dried herbs – mint, geranium, lavender, chamomile, thyme and lemongrass. Mix them well and sew them into fabrics.

Bath

There is nothing more relaxing than a hot, aromatic bath. Add up to 10 drops of essential oil to the water, preferably previously dissolved in milk. Then relax in the bath for 20-30 minutes.
