Swedish scientists were able to find out that talking on a mobile phone at bedtime negatively affects a person’s well-being and can cause migraines, insomnia and distraction.
Specialists conducted a study in which 36 women and 35 men aged 18-45 years took part. For a year and a half, volunteers were periodically irradiated with a signal with a frequency of about 884 MHz, which approximately corresponds to the averaged signals that arise when talking on a cell phone.
After some time, subjects began to complain of migraines and insomnia. It should be noted that according to recent studies, people who did not get enough sleep, as well as those who could not wake up, often go to sick leave. Thus, insomnia can lead to the fact that a person is sick on average 5-9 days longer, unlike someone who fully sleeps.
In addition, experts strongly recommend that parents keep their phones away from their children, although they are five years old. Children using mobile phones are at higher risk for memory and sleep problems.
Scientists believe that the main cause of the disorder is low-intensity electromagnetic radiation from a phone or smartphone. This radiation can penetrate the child’s more vulnerable and thinner skull. If adults are to some extent protected from it, then it threatens children with severe problems with sleep and memory.
